NDT carried out on sample panel having different parameters

Core under testing, extracted from the sample panel before trial repair

Surface saturation by monomer in progress

Cores extracted from sample panel, after completion of trial repair

Load test on one of the test panels in progress (Deflection well within limits)
Make OR Break Factor
We exceeded the specified load test of 1.25 times and carried out a load test of 1.5 times, to ensure the robustness of our solution.
THE CHALLENGE :
- Alterations in water/cement ratios had led to a fall in grade of concrete, from M-35 to M-15, which was a critical load-bearing loss. Cracks in many surface areas were also observed.
THE ODDS :
- During grouting, care was to be taken to not intersect the PT ducts, as post-tensioning was yet to be executed
- Recasting was not an option, so repairs had to be more economical and as effective
OUR RESPONSE :
- After initial analysis of the cause of failure, we designed a new methodology and modified materials to achieve desired concrete strength
- We conducted intensive and extensive trials on site
- Finally, we grouted and saturated the surface of all RCC members with monomers
