Damaged bottom portion of the foundation

Foundation after completion of repair and erection
Make OR Break Factor
The foundation’s bottom portion was 7 mts × 7 mts which had to be cast with micro-concrete in one, single stretch.
THE CHALLENGE :
- The structure was a victim of sub-standard workmanship and congested reinforcements that was leading to honeycomb pockets throughout sections of the foundation, making it dangerously unstable.
THE ODDS :
- As there were many hollow pockets present throughout the RCC foundation, we had no choice but to carry out blind grouting.
OUR RESPONSE :
- Our two-way response first saw us grout the entire section of the foundation with cement / epoxy grout
- Secondly, we replaced the bottom 200 mm portion of the foundation with high-strength micro-concrete to stabilize the structure
